What we collect
When you send a form on this site, we collect what you enter: your name, phone number, email, the kind of case, when it happened and what you tell us about it. When you call or text us, we receive your phone number and what you tell us, and calls with our team may be recorded.
We also note how you found us: the page you sent the form from, the first page you visited, the site or ad that sent you, and the ad's tracking codes. The site uses Cloudflare to block spam, which checks basic information about your browser.
What's saved in your browser
To remember how you found us, the site saves a few details in your browser: the first page you visited, the site that sent you, and any ad tracking codes. They're sent to us with your form, and they stay in your browser until you clear its storage. Cloudflare's spam check may also set a cookie, and Google Analytics uses cookies as explained under "Ads and analytics."
How we use it
We use your information to call or write back, to understand what happened, to check for conflicts of interest, and to decide whether we can help. We use the "how you found us" details to learn which pages and ads bring people to us.
Sending a form
Sending a form or message doesn't make us your lawyers. We keep what you tell us confidential, but please keep it brief until we talk. Our Disclaimer explains more.
Who sees it
Sean Hall, our staff and our intake team, who work under Sean Hall's supervision. We also use outside services to run the firm, and they hold information for us:
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website and blocks spam
- Clio, where our intake team keeps track of inquiries and where we keep client files once you hire us
- Quo, our phone and text message service
We don't sell your information, and we don't give it to other law firms or to companies that buy leads. If we can't take your case and you'd like the name of another lawyer, we'll pass along your information only if you ask us to. We may also share information when the law requires it.
Calls, texts and emails
When you send a form, we'll call or email you about your inquiry, because you asked us to. We text you, or use automated calling or texting tools, only if you agree, for example by checking the box on our form. Calls, texts and emails are about your inquiry or your case. How often we contact you depends on your situation. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts, or HELP for help. Agreeing is optional and not required to talk with us.
We don't share your mobile number or your agreement to receive texts with anyone for their own marketing.
Ads and analytics
When we advertise online, the ad company may learn that someone who clicked an ad later sent a form or called. We don't send them what you wrote.
We use Google Analytics to see how people find and use this site: which pages they visit, roughly where they're coming from, what kind of device they use, and whether they sent a form or tapped to call. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. We never send it your name, phone number, email or anything you wrote in a form. You can block it in your browser's privacy settings or with Google's opt-out tool.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry records as long as we need them to respond, to check for conflicts in the future, and to meet the record rules that apply to law firms. Client files are kept under those rules too.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no website, email or text message is completely secure.
Your choices
To ask what we have about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it, call (854) 777-7111 or write to us at Sean Hall Law Firm, LLC, 677 King Street, 3rd Floor, Charleston, SC 29403. Some records we have to keep, and we'll tell you if that applies.
Children
This site isn't meant for children. If a child was hurt, a parent or guardian should contact us.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
